Professional Beauty & Hair 2026 welcomed thousands of visitors on its first day at the RDS in Dublin on Sunday, 19 April.

The annual event for industry professionals saw a huge number of brands showcase their products and innovations across beauty, skincare, lashes and brows, waxing, tanning, haircare, barbering, business solutions, and more.

It also featured free education sessions on two stages over the course of the day. The Beauty Stage line-up included Susan Fox, who gave a talk on treating rosacea; Louise O'Loughlin, who spoke about oncology aesthetics; Jessy Malone, who did a make-up demo; and Liz McKeon, who explained the benefits of using AI in your salon business.

Meanwhile, Amica Eco Hairdressing co-owner Greg Clarke hosted the Salon SOUL panel, which included salon owners Cyril Morgan, Nicola Lawless, Ciara Dorrington and Bridget Haren, along with Luke Doolin from Phorest. The theme was Shaping the Future, and they had an engaging and interactive discussion on the challenges and opportunities within the sector.

Over on The Hair & Barbering Stage Bridget Haren, Sarah Mason, Sean Taaffe and Paul MacSpecial took to the platform for some head-turning moments. Other highlights were The Circus of Creation by the Irish Hairdressing Councilm and the Irish Hairdressers Federation (IHF) Star Team, who focused on taking the first step to having a successful career in hairdressing.

The Nail Competitions and Make-up Competions turned the competition area into a hive of creativity, with awards handed out at the end of the day.

That’s a wrap on day one of Professional Beauty & Hair, but there is more in store for day two on 20 April. You can still register to attend the standout beauty and hair event of the year. We look forward to seeing you there!
