Are you the best hairdresser in the industry?

Professional Beauty/Hairdressers Journal Ireland presents the Beauty, Hair & Spa Awards on the evening of Sunday, 6 November in Dublin, as part of the annual PB/HJ show weekend.

With 16 categories in total – eight for beauty and eight for hair, split to recognise business and creative skills – among the hair categories is Irish Hairdresser of the Year, sponsored by ghd.

This category is open to all qualified hairdressers who work in a commercial environment and have done so for a minimum of three years, excluding training.

To enter, you must have a regular client column; a regular client column is working in a salon for a minimum of one day per week. You will also need to submit four final images, pre-edit images and before images.

If you are shortlisted in this category, you will be required to enter an additional two images digitally through the awards platform, and send in hard copies of all your images. You will be sent further information on this once the shortlist has been revealed.

For the photographic shoot, no more than four images in the collection of six can contain wigs, extensions, hairpieces or stands, and no more than two faces may appear in any one image.

Images may be black and white or colour, and the hair should be aspirational, wearable and reflect current trends.
