PB/HJ Awards – closing date for entries extended!

Professional Beauty/Hairdressers Journal Ireland presents the Beauty, Hair & Spa Awards on the evening of Sunday, 6 November in the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, and the closing date for entries has now been extended to 12 August.

The PB/HJ Awards are being held as part of the annual PB/HJ show weekend, which is being held in the RDS.

Split across beauty, hair and spa, the categories include everyone from juniors to business directors, and entries will be judged independently by industry experts, who are selected for their knowledge and expertise.

We’ve put together a helpful list of tips on how to create a winning entry:

Choose your category: make sure that you're entering the right category for you by reading the full list and entry criteria for each one.

Understand your responsibilities: make sure you are aware of what you need to submit when you enter, and what is required of you if you are shortlisted. For example, if you are shortlisted for Colour Technician of the Year or Irish Hairdresser of the Year, you will be required to send in hard copies of your images. Finalists in the Junior/Assistant of the Year, Therapist of the Year and Business Director of the Year categories will be required to attend a virtual interview in September.

Make sure your contact details are correct: all entries must be submitted in English and must have a valid phone number and email address that the team can contact you on. If your details do change at all throughout the awards timeline, please let us know immediately.

Include supporting documents: if you have won any previous awards, please upload a certificate/photo. If you have been featured or mentioned in press, scan the article to provide this as part of your entry. These supporting documents give you the perfect opportunity to grab our judges’ attention.

Final check: before submitting your entry, check and check again! This is your chance to impress our judges, so make the best impression possible by ensuring that you have answered every question, and that your passion in your chosen category shines through.
