The Montenotte Hotel has introduced a Salt Room to its Bellevue Spa, with the new addition to its wellness area being available to all guests as a 40-minute wellness experience, following their spa treatment.
According to the Cork hotel, the Salt Room promises an experience that “transcends the ordinary, providing a haven for both body and soul”.
“The walls, crafted from over 1,400 Himalayan salt bricks directly from the Himalayas in Pakistan, exude a warm, rosy glow that bathes the room in a soft, nurturing light,” it said. “From the moment guests enter the room, the salt will begin to absorb excess moisture in the lungs, effectively purifying airways, removing allergens, and facilitating full and unrestricted breathing while elevating the oxygen intake.”
Inhaling salty air has been scientifically proven to help those suffering from asthma and allergies, all while boosting the immune system. Microscopic salt particles can also exfoliate the skin, leaving it rejuvenated and refreshed.
Natural Salt Therapy worked with The Montenotte on the new addition. “Working with the team from The Montenotte on the Salt Room project was an absolute pleasure,” said managing director Sylvia Darragh.
