The Irish Hairdressers Federation (IHF) has launched its Star Team Challenge 2024, which is open to trainees at any level, who are still undergoing training.
The theme for this year's junior stylist competition is Runway Ready and entrants must create a look based on this on a mannequin, model or themselves. They must then take a picture of it, post it on Instagram with the hashtag #IHFSTARTEAMCHALLENGE and tag @irishhairfed.They must also make sure their Instagram profile is set to public.
The competition is open from 1-30 April and the winner will get to participate on one of the Star Team's education days.
The IHF's Star Team is an annual initiative by the industry body to find the next generation of hairdressing superstars.
The five members of Star Team 2024 are Ciara Harrington, Lynda Maher Hair Studio, Carlow; Lucy Monks, The Hair Company Broadstone, Dublin; Thomas Lacey, Karl Martin Hairdressing, Co Wexford; Rebecca Kearney, Brown Sugar, Dublin; and Tiegan Neary, Allure Hair & Beauty, Co Mayo.
