Updated on 24th Jun 2026

The Irish Hairdressers Federation (IHF) is bringing its Art Team to Cork on Sunday, 12 July for an evening of education and inspiration.

Aimed at stylists, salon owners, trainees and educators, the event will begin with a reception, followed by a high-energy showcase from members of the IHF Art Team, featuring creativity, technical skill and fresh inspiration from across the industry.

Reintroduced in 2025, the IHF Art Team is an initiative from the industry body that is designed to showcase innovation, elevate standards and inspire the wider industry. Led by artistic director Stephen Kelly, it is made up of Kon Kelly, Sean Losty-Mooney, Aoife O'Toole, Suzanne Dowling and Pauline Whelan.

The Cork event will see the team present their original photographic and educational collection developed as part of the IHF Art Team programme. They will be joined by guest barber Ciarán O'Sullivan, owner of Kiwi Cuts.

Over a two-hour session, guests will see eight live models demonstrating a wide variety of techniques, styles and creative approaches. From precision bobs and commercial salon work, to editorial and avant-garde creations, the team will share the inspiration, techniques and thought processes behind their work.

The event will take place at the Imperial Hotel on 12 July, and tickets are available through the IHF website.
