Irish Hairdressers Federation seeks applications for new Art Team

Published 07th Mar 2025

The Irish Hairdressers Federation (IHF) has announced the launch of the IHF Art Team.

The initiative is designed to provide a platform for talented hairdressers to showcase their creativity, collaborate with like-minded professionals and develop new skills.

It also aims to offer opportunities to those who may not have had the chance to participate in high-profile creative projects before.

The IHF Art Team will be led by newly-appointed artistic director Stephen Kelly, who said he is very honoured to be part of the project, and wants to bring together the “elite of Irish hairdressing, a collective of passionate, creative and ambitious hairstylists”.

Entrants must have at least three years of post-qualification experience in the hairdressing industry. As part of their application, they must show how they have developed and grown professionally since qualifying. This could include learning new techniques, exploring creative opportunities, or expanding their skill set through practical experience or education. They also need to include a 400-word statement about themselves and their career journey.

The closing date for applications is 31 March. Following the online entry process, there will be a virutal interview and a live practical challenge.
