Irish Hairdressers Federation Star Team 2027 open for applications in May

Applications for the Irish Hairdressers Federation (IHF) Star Team 2027 are open for the month of May.

The competition is aimed at those who are still undergoing training, and is not solely determined by ability, as it also takes ambition, enthusiasm and passion for the industry into account. It encourages applicants of varying skillsets and experience.

To apply, candidates must fill in an online application form, and include information about themselves and their future ambitions. They will then participate in an interview with the judging panel.

Those who make it through to the next round will be invited to the semi-finals to showcase a colour and cut model, before the judges choose the shortlist.

Finalists are then required to showcase their skills to the judges in two parts. First, they must present an upstyle and blowdry model. They then proceed to the final interview with the judges.

Five individuals will be selected for the IHF Star Team 2027. They will take part in a year-long journey of exclusive education with a number of stylists and educators in Ireland.
