L'Oréal Colour Trophy Ireland 2024 winners announced

The L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2024 Grand Final took place in Dublin on Monday, 17 June, with this year’s theme centred on ‘FINDing your FORM’.

HJ was there on the evening, which kicked off with a introduction from L'Oréal Professionnel Paris general manager UK and Ireland Ann-Marie Humphreys.

“L'Oréal Colour Trophy has been championing professional excellence and hair artistry for over five decades,” she said. “It is the longest running live hair competition in the world.”

The event featured a catwalk of all the finalists who had been competing all day in the RDS, Dublin, before this year's judges were introduced. The panel included Alan Edwards, Andrew Mulvenna, Darren Ambrose, Marcello Moccia and Nathan Walker.

The event also hosted two shows. Mash Up was led by Jason Hall and Abigail Butler. Supported by the L'Oréal ID Artists, it was a cornocopia of throwback styles, a mix of street style and avant garde looks. The assisting team was made up of Daryl Behan, Peter Mark College; Georgia Haverty, Peter Mark College; Kelly Byrne, Peter Mark College; Rebecca Robinson, Peter Mark College; Sadhbh Clifford, Peter Mark; Sian Lloyd, Hillary.ie; and Yolanda Dunne, Wildflower.

Framework by Arkive and the Adam Reed team brought elements of cabaret and drag artistry to the stage.

The L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2024 Grand Final winners were announced over the course of the evening. In first place was Mark Byrne and Lisa May, New Hair Order, Dublin. Second place went to Zeba Hairdressing’s Mark Sherwood and Augusto Miranda, while Brown Sugar’s Graham Santeliz Molloy and James Coleman came third.

The winner of the Ireland Moving Image Award winner was Lauren McNeel, Stripe Colour Studio, while the LCT Star Award went to Zeba Hairdressing’s Jake Murphy.

David O'Brien, market director, L'Oréal Professional Products Ireland and David Higgins, managing director, L'Oréal Professiomal Products UK and Ireland thanked all the finalists and the audience for their attendance and warm reception. You can find the full programme of the evening here.
