L'Oréal Professional Products UK & Ireland has announced the appointment of Aurélien Guibret as its new managing director.

Guibret will take on the position from 1 April 2025, succeeding David Higgins, who will be taking on a new role in Singapore with the L'Oréal Groupe.

With over 20 years of experience within L'Oréal to the UKI market, Guibret began his L'Oréal career in 2004, holding various roles, before moving to the Professional Products Division (PPD) as marketing director for L'Oréal Professionnel hair colour innovations, and later as brand director for the Western Europe Zone.

From 2016, he served as general manager for Kérastase and Shu Uemura in the UK and Ireland. Most recently, he held the role of global chief activation officer for PPD.

“It’s a real privilege to be back in the UK and Ireland and to be leading the PPD team,” he said. “I look forward to reconnecting with the incredible talent and passion within the UKI hairdressing industry, drawing on the strong foundations that David has established, and continuing to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, working hand-in-hand with our salon partners to help them achieve their ambitions and drive the industry forward. I believe that by working together, we can continue to elevate the artistry and professionalism of hairdressing in the UKI.”

Higgins added: “Serving the UKI professional hair industry has been an absolute privilege. I am immensely proud of the resilience, creativity, and passion I've witnessed firsthand from our professional partners. As I move into a new role within L'Oréal, I have full confidence that Aurélien Guibret, with his deep understanding of our market and commitment to partnership, is the ideal leader to guide PPD UKI into an exciting future.”
