Among the many highlights at Professional Beauty & Hair 2026 at the RDS in Dublin on 19-20 April was the Make-up Competitions, which saw both student and professional MUAs enter in a number of categories.
According to competition directors Jacqui and Sean O’Sullivan, the energy in the competition area over the two days was electric, as so many talented entrants showed off their skills and dedication.
“It was inspiring to see everyone’s passion shining through, all while being judged by respected experts from the make-up industry,” said Jacqui O’Sullivan.
“The level of artistry and professionalism was impressive, and it was truly uplifting to see so many passionate individuals celebratring our amazing industry.”
With entries up on the last year, the make-up judges included Keira Smyth, Evelyn Byrne, Amber Foster and Laura Thornton, while the online judging line-up featured Kirsty Meakin, Kezia Parkins and Jodie McConnell.
