Business Network Live returns after two-year break

Wella Professionals’ Business Network Live returned for an in-person conference on 31 January and 1 February in The Belfry Hotel & Resort in the UK, following a two-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

More than 200 guests gathered for the two-day event, which is now in its 24th year. Hosted by industry influencer and podcaster Dom Lehane, it was officially opened by Max Amen, Wella Professionals’ general manager for the UK & Ireland.

“Today we celebrate the Wella family,” he said. “We are a standalone company now, and are more flexible than ever before. The salon is always at the core of what we do, and you can expect us to be there for you through good times and bad.”

Senior sales & education director UK & Ireland Tatiana Suvorova added; “We vow to work with you to grow your colour business. We’re going to be bringing the Wella family together for many more face-to-face experiences.”

The line-up of guest speakers at the conference included a session from multi-award-winning Geoff Ramm, who shared his marketing ideas; writer and performance expert Rasmus Ankersen, who gave an insight into the synergies between high-achieving sporting groups around the world; ex-footballer Clarke Carlisle and his wife Carrie, who gave an account of the struggles of dealing with mental health; and industry experts Adam Thomas from Salonspy and Fry Taylor from the Green Salon Collective.

Hairdressers Jordanna Cobella, Collette Osbourne, Salv Mule and Patrick Gildea led the panel discussion covering topics such as motivating staff, service menus and client expectations.
