Co Kerry's Ballygarry to expand its spa facilities

Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa in Co Kerry is to begin work on the development of a new spa this autumn.

Located outside Tralee, Ballygarry is home to the award-winning Nádúr Spa, which offers a range of treatments from brands such as Voya and Skin Formulas.

Spa manager Nina Groves has been working with Ballygarry owner and general manager Padraig McGillicuddy to plan the enhanced facilities.

The upgrade includes a new thermal garden double its original size, a herbal steam room, an additional treatment room, outdoor seaweed baths, a salt room with heated thermal loungers, an outdoor bucket shower and an additional outdoor hot tub.

“I am so excited about this new development and hugely proud to still be part of Nádúr’s ever-evolving journey,” said Groves.

“Tourism in wellness is expected to grow considerably in the next few years, as guests seek to reset their physical and mental wellbeing following a turbulent couple of years.

“The new development will vastly enhance the spa facilities and continue to offer our guests an oasis where they can detach from the chaos of daily life, enjoy quiet time and find a sense of balance.

“Padraig and I have been working on this project since the start of the pandemic and have chopped and changed the design of it so many times, but we now both feel that the final design is the right one for the estate and for our guests' needs. I am privileged to be involved in such an exciting project and I look forward to showcasing it to all our guests in spring 2023.”
