Digital Salon announces overseas expansion

Digital Salon has announced it is expanding into the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The company, which provide websites and software solutions to the hair and beauty industry, has over 500 salon customers across UK and Ireland. “We are already the largest provider of websites to the salon sector globally and we are expanding into the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, with bases in New York, London and in Sydney, which will allow us to hire local sales teams in each,” said Richard Spence, director and co-founder, Digital Salon Group.
“Over the last year have been getting more and more enquiries from other English speaking markets. We understand that a salon’s needs in Australia or in the US are very similar to those in the UK and Ireland. They now know that having a good online presence is vital, yet often they don't have the time, budget or the technical know-how to do this.
“In Digital Salon we have a clear mission – to make it simple, affordable and hassle-free for salons globally to move their business online. All of the products we offer are designed to help them attract new customers, retain their existing customers and grow their business online.”
Spence believes that the Covid-19 pandemic and challenges of the past 12 months have made salons much more aware of the need for an online shop and the revenue that can be generated by it.
“Some customers have said they would not have survived without it. While this is something we have been promoting since we set up, it has certainly been accelerated by the pandemic, and puts us on a great footing to expand internationally.”
