Do you have what it takes to be Irish Hairdresser of the Year?

Entries are now open for the Beauty, Hair & Spa Awards 2023, with the gala ceremony taking place in the InterContinental Dublin on 12 November.
Launched last year, the awards celebrate the very best across the beauty, hair and spa industry in Ireland. They are judged independently by a panel of experts, who are chosen for their knowledge and skills.
Among the hair categories is Irish Hairdresser of the Year, which is open to all qualified hairdressers who work in a commercial environment and have done so for a minimum of three years, excluding training.
To enter, you must have a regular client column – a regular client column is working in a salon for a minimum of one day per week. You will also need to submit four final images, pre-edit images and before images.
For the photographic shoot, no more than two faces may appear in any one photograph, and no more than three pictures can be used in two different categories. Photographs may be black and white or colour, and the hair should be aspirational, wearable and reflect current trends.
Professional photographers, make-up artists and stylists may be used. Furthermore, Images do not have to be head and shoulders, but they do need to focus on the hair, especially in terms of lighting and pose.
