Europe Hotel & Resort supports RTÉ Toy Show Appeal

The Europe Hotel & Resort has announced that it is donating 100% of the proceeds from the sales of its Bertie the Bear mascot to the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal.

RTÉ Toy Show Appeal is a new RTÉ charity fund, in partnership with The Community Foundation for Ireland, to help support children’s charities and causes all around Ireland.

Officially launched on the annual Late Late Toy Show at the end of November, it has been set up as a dedicated fund, with monies raised to be distributed by The Community Foundation for Ireland, a registered charity with extensive experience in strategic giving, and helping a wide range of charities.

In 2021, 50% of the monies raised will shared among three children’s charities – Barnardos, Children’s Health Foundation and Children’s Books Ireland. The other 50% will be distributed as grants by Community Foundation for Ireland. 

Priced at €25, Bertie the Bear is 27cm high when sitting down, and 42cm from top to toe, and he comes with his own Europe Hotel & Resort jumper.

Home to ESPA at the Europe, Co Kerry’s Europe Hotel & Resort is now closed for the 2020 season, but will be reopening on 4 February 2021.

Bertie the Bear can be purchased at the Europe’s online gift shop and the cost covers postage and packaging within Ireland.
