First APAT open forum event takes place in Cork City

Last month saw the first open forum event hosted by the Association of Practising Aesthetic Therapists (APAT) take place in Cork City.
Designed as an elite programme for mentoring, presentation, mapping career paths, empowering, giving confidence and credibility to APAT’s professional members, The Therapist Event was held in Republic of Work on the South Mall on 23 September. It was attended by individuals, students and practising professionals wishing to achieve the competitive edge, and by companies to position their key people in mastering their personal and professional presentation and powerful communication skills.
APAT calls itself ‘the transformational training and coaching authority for beauty and spa professionals’. Headed up by professional spa consultant Diahann Buckley Carmody and beauty therapist and salon owner Mary Coleman, APAT is aiming to build a future to secure professional standards and development of the global aesthetics industry. With over 50 years of combined business, practical and aesthetic experience, it provides professional development training for the beauty, spa and wellness industry.
APAT trains and mentors the industry’s elite in business etiquette, communication and leadership excellence. Its programmes include business development, customer care and ethical standards training. According to the organisation, it gives confidence and credibility to its professional members and works with businesses and individuals who wish to become the gold standard within the aesthetic and spa industry.
