Five-star Monart to reopen over August bank holiday weekend

Monart is to reopen on 3 August, having been closed for almost five months during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Based in Enniscorthy, Co Wexord, Monart is Ireland’s only five-star destination spa. Recognised globally, its thermal suite is based on ancient heating and cooling rituals. Other features include 15 treatments rooms, a sauna, steam room, outdoor Finnish sauna, salt grotto, infra-red pro suite, caldarium, sanarium and hydrotherapy pool.
“We are excited with the prospect of returning to doing what we do best, but most importantly we are delighted as this proves that Ireland’s fight against Covid is working,” it said.
“We have been busy behind closed doors, planning, painting, decorating and preparing our gardens for our guests’ return to Ireland’s Great Escape. The safety of our guests and employees is of paramount importance. Monart is and will continue to be a place of health and wellness.”
The resort has limited capacity for the remainder of 2020 due to current social distancing measures, however it said it will add more capacity once restrictions are eased further.
It has published its Covid policy on its website, which includes a range of safety measures and guidelines.
