Habic Best of the Best Awards 2020 finalists announced

The finalists for the Best of the Best Awards 2020 have been announced by the Hair and Beauty Industry Confederation (Habic).
Launched in 1998, the Best of the Best are a four-month long process involving a panel of international judges, culminating in an awards evening, which will take place online on 17 December, due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.
This year saw the Best of the Best join forces with Habic for the first time, and the wide range of categories includes Haircutter of the Year, Make-up Artist of the Year, Hair Colourist of the Year, Bridal Hairstylist of the Year, Barber of the Year and Editorial Stylist of the Year.
A number of new categories have also been added, including the Business Awards. The adjudication process for the Business Awards includes a panel adjudication, which is then combined with an online public vote to reveal the ultimate winners. Voting opened on 7 December.
“This is the inaugural year of our Business Awards and the entry level was incredible and the standards impressively high,” said Habic.
Finalists in the Business Awards for Hair Salon of the Year are Pelo Hairdressing, Bridget Haren Hair & Beauty, Bankz Hair & Beauty, and Sean Taaffe Group.
Making the shortlist for Beauty Salon of the Year are In Vogue, Omra Beauty, MUA Skerries and Studio Wax.
The Green Hair Salon shortlist includes The Greene Room, Locks and Lace and Atelier M, while the Barber Shop of the Year finalists are The Barber Rooms Midleton, Academy Barber Celbridge and Retro 1926 Limerick.
