Hairdressing Council partners with The Hygiene Bank

The Hairdressing Council of Ireland has chosen The Hygiene Bank as one of its charity partners, with Xpert Professional among the companies to make a donation.
Set up in the UK in 2018, The Hygiene Bank is a grassroots charity and social movement that aims to inspire social change to tackle hygiene poverty. Through its network of projects, its goal is give people access to the basics they need.
The Hygiene Bank Ireland launched in November 2019, and operates four projects across the country, including Dublin and Cork. Hygiene products are donated by individuals and companies, they are then collected by volunteers, and distributed to local charities and organisations who work with those in need. Since its launch, The Hygiene Bank Ireland has distributed 45,000 hygiene items into local communities through charity links.
Through the Hairdressing Council partnership, Xpert Professional, which distributes brands such as Alfaparf Milano and Kemon, has donated 500 bottles of shampoo to The Hygiene Bank.
The initiative in Ireland is currently running 100 Families, its first ever national campaign in Ireland, to raise awareness and funds to support those who are currently living in difficult times and struggling with hygiene poverty.
