IHF announces Star Team 2023 finalist line-up

The Irish Hairdressers Federation (IHF) has announced the line-up of finalists for its Star Team 2023.

The industry body launched its search for team member in March, with entries open to all trainee stylists currently undergoing training, who will still be undergoing training by November 2023.

According to the IHF, Star Team is not just about ability – it is about the person and their potential. The organisation said it was looking for dynamic individuals who will make an impact on the future of the industry in Ireland.

The recent Star Team semi-finals saw competitors showcase a colour and cut model, followed by an interview with the panel of guest judges, who then chose the line-up  to go through to the final.

The IHF thanked everyone who took part on social media. “Regardless of the outcome, putting yourself forward for new opportunities and challenges will always come with their own rewards,” it said. “For those who didn't make it this year, we strongly encourage you to apply again next year, taking from the experiences and feedback gained.”

The HF Star Team 2023 finalists from a range of salons around the country are Kristina Hand, Tiegan Neary, Bronagh Willoughby, Kym Mulhern, Zoe Moore, Kerrine MacHale, Emily Whelan, Aimee Brady, Zoe Bent, Roisin Moore, Cheryl Kelly, Ruby Lennon, Jennifer O'Keeffe, Samantha Monaghan, Kelly Murray, Leanne Miller, Chloe Nolan, Niamh Finn, Anita Gillick, Holly O'Brien, Lucy Monks, Craig Curedale, Clodagh Waters, Jack McGrath and Ciara Harrington.

Four winners will be chosen at the Star Team 2023 final later this month.
