Image Skillnet runs free post-Covid Business Growth Club

Image Skillnet and the Hair and Beauty Industry Confederation (Habic) are running a free course for members, which is designed specifically for Irish beauty salon owners and managers emerging from lockdown.

Taking place online, Business Growth Club is being taught by beauty business expert Liz McKeon, and shows participants how to look at their business, with emphasis on how to manage and drive it.

Image Skillnet is a not-for-profit, enterprise-led training network, formed to support the hair and beauty sector within the Republic of Ireland. Through engaging with employers and employees, its vision is to support and enable enterprises to participate in workforce development and life-long learning, in order to build a strong, highly skilled and sustainable workforce within the hair and beauty sector.

“Changing times help salon owners to explore new structures within your business and, more importantly, how you will secure new business in the future,” it said. “Clients will naturally gravitate to the people, salons and brands who are positive about what is happening.”

There are six groups running, with 20 places in each group, and the weekly and monthly sessions will run from now until December.

Module topics include the importance of salon money management, post-lockdown; how to wow your clients so they want to come back more often and spend more money; steps to selling your services and products; and how to manage your team and your columns.
