Irish Spa Association collaborates with Failte Ireland on Covid-19 Safety Charter

The Irish Spa Association (ISA) has announced it has worked closely with Failte Ireland in developing the most recent suite of spa guidelines.
These guidelines have now received Government approval and have just been published on the Failte Ireland website. Adoption of the guidelines leads to the new Covid-19 Safety Charter, which is a stamp that hospitality and tourism businesses can display on their premises and websites to assure customers that their properties are safe spaces.
The Government-endorsed initiative aims to reinforce confidence in domestic and overseas visitors in tourism businesses. It is designed to give comfort and reassurance to employers, employees and customers that a business is ready to reopen safely.
Fáilte Ireland and other State agencies, such as the Health & Safety Authority, will carry out spot checks to ensure that businesses are complying with the new charter.
“We should all be looking to focus on the opportunities domestic tourism will present for our businesses, this will be the year of the staycation,” said the ISA.
“People are missing their overseas vacations, and the spa will become a great place to escape to. Marketing yourself as a safe space, and giving your clients and guests assurance, will hold great value for your business and rebuild consumer confidence.”
