Junior Stylist Star Team Challenge 2023 winners announced

The results of the Irish Hairdressers Federation’s Junior Stylist Star Team Challenge 2023 have been announced.

Entrants were asked to choose a category from the Favourite Holiday, Head Turning Colour, Vogue Inspired and Get Texturising options. Then they had to create their chosen look on a live model, a mannequin head or on themselves, and post the look on Instagram.

Open to junior hairdressers at any level, still undergoing their training, entrants were able to submit looks as many times and in as many categories as they wanted, with the judging panel made up of the IHF Star Team of 2023, along with Star Team mentors Damien Nolan and John Keegan.

The winners are Shannon Power, Divine Hair by Niamh Hayden in Waterford (Head Turning Colour); Danielle O'Sullivan, Vanilla Hair Design in Tullow, Co Carlow (Favourite Holiday); Abi Moloney, Brown Sugar, South William Street in Dublin (Vogue Inspired); and Ciara Harrington, Lynda Maher Hair Studio in Carlow (Get Texturising).

“It was extremely difficult choosing the winners, with so many fantastic entries, but it’s refreshing to see such talent,” said Keegan.
