Lumenis SplendorX technology launches in Ireland

Lumenis SplendorX technology has been launched in Ireland by Lasertec Medical Services, the specialist supplier of laser, LED and IPL systems.
According to Lasertec, this technology is the only aesthetic laser device that combines bilateral emission of two wavelengths – Nd:YAG (1064nm) and alexandrite (755nm). This allows the clinician to combine both lasers simultaneously for optimum treatment. The wavelengths can be synchronised to be fired, with varying proportions to tailor treatment, depending on the individual’s skin type, hair colour and thickness.
It said that the SplendorX offers a revolutionary square spot size, eliminating the age-old problem of overlap, and therefore ensures safer, faster treatments. The addition of an in-built plume evacuator, dual cooling system, and HEPA filter, further enhances the safety element of the technology. SplendorX treats a wide range of hair removal procedures and skin conditions, such as wrinkle reduction, vascular and pigmented lesions.
SplendorX treatments are being rolled out in Ireland by Belfast Skin Clinic, led by medical director and consultant dermatologist Dr Pamela McHenry, and Advanced Aesthetic Clinic in Wexford, owned by Natalia Grannell.
“Throughout 2021, this amazing technology will become more widely available across Ireland, as the most innovative and forward moving clinics introduce the SplendorX to their treatment offerings,” said Lasertec.
