A new10-part series is following a young team working at global cosmetics company BPerfect Cosmetics, which is based in Co Antrim.

Created by Brendan McDowell in 2012, BPerfect Cosmetics is the brand behind a wide range of make-up products, as well as the 10 Second Spray Tan Solution, a professional tanning line that includes spray tan machines, training and certification as part of its offering.

McDowell made an appearance on Ireland’s Dragons’ Den in March 2017, where the brand received praise from all five Dragons and secured an offer from two. More recently, he has received an Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year nomination.

The first episode of Made Up In Belfast features McDowell and the team, as they work on a collaboration with Ekin-Su, the winner of last year's Love Island.

The rest of the series follows the team as they open up new stores, launch new products and travel the globe, while trying to balance the demands of work with their love lives, friendships, personal health and wellbeing. These include Ciara, the brand's social media manager and Emma, the marketing manager.

The series culminates with a big decision from McDowell at the company’s 10th birthday.

Made Up In Belfast is the latest production from the partnership between BBC Three, BBC Northern Ireland and Northern Ireland Screen. It was commissioned by Fiona Campbell, controller, BBC Three; and Eddie Doyle, head of commissioning, BBC Northern Ireland. It is produced by Emma-Rosa Dias from Afro-Mic Productions and made with support from Northern Ireland Screen.
