Northern Ireland Beauty Excellence Awards to return in 2022

The Northern Ireland Beauty Excellence Awards are set to return in 2022, with the event taking place on Sunday, 15 May at the Crowne Plaza in Belfast.
Founded in 2019, the awards recognise salons, hairdressers, clinics, spas, products and industry experts in Northern Ireland.
West Coast Cooler has been announced as the headline sponsor of the event, alongside media partners Daily Mirror NI and Belfast Live.
Award-winning hairdresser Paul Stafford is once again heading up the judging panel, alongside owner and director of Bellamianta Tan Linda Stinson. Also on the panel are make-up artist and skincare specialist Katrina Doran; Dr Mervyn Patterson, medical director at Woodford Medical; and Elanna Pecherle, owner Pearl Beauty.
According to Sarah Weir, director of Weir Events, everyone involved in the awards is excited to recognise and celebrate every individual for keeping the industry moving even in the darkest of days.
“We are back, bigger and better, and so thrilled to be launching the 2022 NI Beauty Excellence Awards when we know our salons, clinics and make-up studios will be buzzing in the run-up to Christmas,” she said. “Having worked closely with many in this industry since 2018, their determination to keep their businesses operating, adjusting how they offered their expertise and their fight back after restrictions were lifted, has been so inspiring and this is our opportunity to celebrate the entire industry.”
Hosted by Pamela Ballantine, the awards are made up of 19 categories, including the new Innovation Award and Inspirational Industry Person Award.
“Now is the time to enjoy ourselves and celebrate our wonderful hair, beauty and aesthetic industries,” said Stafford. “We want to put the challenges of the past couple of years behind us and reward the local industry for the innovative, exciting and world-leading one that it is.”
