When and where are the Beauty, Hair & Spa Awards taking place?

The ceremony will be held on the evening of Sunday, 6 November 2022 at Citywest in Dublin, as part of the annual PB/HJ show weekend.

Do I have to pay to enter?

No, there is no charge to enter. The only cost involved is if you wish to attend the PB/HJ Awards ceremony.

Can I enter from Northern Ireland?

Yes, we’d love to see your entries.

How many categories are there?

There are 16 categories in total – eight for beauty and eight for hair, split to recognise business and creative skills – with the Digital Salon of the Year, sponsored by Treatwell category covering both beauty and hair.

What is the last date to submit my entry?

All entries must be submitted by 5pm on Friday, 29 July 2022.

Can I post a hard copy of my entry?

No – ALL entries must be submitted online.

Can I enter more than one category?

Yes, you can, but please ensure you have submitted each entry separately, and that they are in the transactions section of your account. Also make sure each entry is unique in its content – the judges can become familiar with repeated entries.

Do I need to complete the online entry form and submit straight away?

No – the entry form can be saved by clicking ‘save for later’ and returned to at any point by logging back in and selecting ‘saved items’.

Can I submit more than one entry under the same account log in?    

Yes – one account can be created for multiple entries, including entries for different salons/spas/entrants. Please ensure the correct details are completed on the entry form.   

Is there a word limit on the answers?

Only on certain questions. To view the word limits, select ‘enter now’ on the category you wish to enter, then log in or create an account. You will be directed to the online entry form showing the question and answer fields. 

What happens if I’m shortlisted?

If you are shortlisted for Irish Hairdresser of the Year, sponsored by ghd; Artistic Team of the Year, sponsored by Great Lengths; or Colour Technician of the Year, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, you will be required to enter an additional two images digitally through the PB/HJ Awards platform and send in hard copies of all your images. You will be sent further information on this once the shortlist has been revealed.

If you are shortlisted for Business Director of the Year, you will be required to attend a virtual interview in September 2022.
