Schwarzkopf Professional announces dedicated Republic of Ireland team

Schwarzkopf Professional has announced the launch of Ignite, which is its very first dedicated team for young hairdressers in the Republic of Ireland.

Open to any hairdresser in the country under the age of 30, employed in a Schwarzkopf Professional salon, entries are now open.

According to Schwarzkopf Professional, Ignite has been formed to help emerging hairdressing talents take their career to the next level, through a year-long programme of training days, content shoots and education – all designed to help members finesse their skills in hair, social media and profile-building.

“We’re really excited to be offering this new opportunity to Schwarzkopf Professional salons in the Republic of Ireland,” said Kay Brady, Henkel’s national PPS manager for the UK and Ireland.

“There are so many brilliant hairdressers out there seeking an opportunity to build on their skills and grow their profile, and that’s precisely what we want to do through our latest talent incubator. We can’t wait to see all the fantastic entries, and ultimately build a new group of talented, dynamic hairdressers.”

The debut team is recruiting now, with six spots available. To enter, sytlists need to create a short video on social media, showcasing their skillset. They are being asked to create a reel showcasing their favourite Schwarzkopf Professional product, be it styling, care or colour.

The video must showcase creativity and personality, but otherwise it’s an open brief as entrants can create a look on themselves or someone else, or just explain why they love their chosen product. The video needs to be tagged with @SchwarzkopfProUK and #SKPIgnite.

The entry deadline is 5pm on Friday, 11 March and entrants must be 30 or under as of that date, and employed in a Schwarzkopf Professional salon in the Republic of Ireland.
