Spa Life Ireland Convention postponed until September

Spa Life International has announced that following careful consideration it is has postponed the Spa Life Ireland Convention until 14-16 September at the Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort.

It had been due to take place from 18-20 May.

”While mindful of our responsibilities in regard to the safety, health and well-being of the entire spa community, to date we have approached the operation of Spa Life Ireland with a cautious optimism and fervent hope that we would be able to proceed and had in fact drafted an official statement to this effect.

“However, with the situation across the island of Ireland changing rapidly and many hotel and spa operators now facing severe travel restrictions and attendances at events being banned, it is clear that postponement is the most appropriate course of action. Spa Life brings the spa and wellness industry together to share skills, knowledge and experience so that we can all benefit. With every event we make our community stronger and we are confident that the selected dates give us the best opportunity to deliver a positive event at the earliest possible time.”

Spa Life thanked the team at the Galgorm Spa & Golf Resort, which it said has been enormously supportive at this difficult time, especially as it faces its own operational challenges. “As part of their own safeguarding measures Galgorm has introduced a number of additional procedures to help protect their staff, suppliers and customers and we are confident that they will do all they can to help keep delegates safe and healthy when we reconvene in September,” it added.

Anyone who has already made reservations for accommodation at Galgorm does not need to call the resort to rearrange booking as these will be automatically transferred to the alternative dates. And anyone who does wish to change their accommodation reservation in any way can call or email Galgorm.
