Speaker Spotlight: Zachary Falb, Global Master Trainer at NovaLash

Ahead of his Live Stage Session at Professional Beauty Ireland, we sat down with Zachary Falb, Global Master Trainer at Novalash to find out what salon owners should consider when choosing a lash extension brand.

"Lash extensions are an incredibly profitable service for any salon or spa, so it’s important to train the right staff from the offset to reap the business benefits lash extensions have to offer.

The key to this is offering the training opportunity to staff that truly want to do lash extensions – therapists who are ‘made’ to train often do not give 100% effort and aren’t passionate about the service, resulting in less than perfect results for clients. This may affect your service standards and subsequently reflect negatively on your salon or spa.

Alongside this, ensure that you can set aside enough time for on the job practicing for the trainee lash artists – we recommend a beginner to have at least four hours of practice each week. This means that you should consider training one or two at a time vs a large group to avoid any downtime, or disturbance to appointments.
