Three Irish spa hotels top list of best UK and Ireland resorts
Three Irish spa resorts have been named in Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2021, with Ballyfin Demesne in Co Laois being voted the No 1 Resort Hotel in Ireland and the UK.
The annual survey, which is voted for by readers, was open for nominations from 11 January until 10 May this year.
A Georgian manor, Ballyfin Demesne opened as a hotel in 2011. With 21 individually designed rooms, the resort is furnished with Irish artworks and antiques, and features an indoor pool and spa that offers a range of treatments using Pevonia products.
“Absolutely thrilled to reveal we have been ranked No 1 on the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2021 list of Top Resort Hotels in the UK and Ireland,” Ballyfin Demesne posted on its Facebook page. “Thank you to all who voted for us and well done to the amazing team who have made this possible.”
Adare Manor in Co Limerick came in third in the survey. The five-star establishment recently entered into a new partnership with 111SKIN to create a spa experience that is the first of its kind in Ireland.
Meanwhile, Sheen Falls Lodge in Co Kerry came in at No 7. The Kenmare resort is home to Easanna Wellness & Spa, which has five treatment rooms and uses skincare brands Elemis and Voya. It also feature a manicure and pedicure suite, a hair and make-up salon, and a tranquil relaxation room.
