Wexford salon owner receives Network Ireland award
Beauty professional Roisin Leacy has won the Established Businesswoman category at Network Ireland’s Businesswoman of the Year Awards, which were held in Naas, Co Kildare.
Leacy owns Eikon Beauty, which has branches in Gorey, Co Wexford, Shankill, Co Dublin and Redmond Square in Wexford town. She is also the owner of Gorey Institute of Beauty and Airbase Make-up Ireland, which distributes Airbase Make-up here.
Network Ireland is a non-profit, voluntary organisation, with over 1,000 members and 17 branches around the country. Established in 1983, and celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, its aim is to support the professional and personal development of women.
Its Businesswoman of the Year Awards recognise the achievements of talented and dedicated female professionals, and Leacy was one of eight women to be honoured on the night.
“I have worked so hard on the business over the years and have won many awards, both locally and nationally, but this one means so much as it recognises me,” she said.
“I won first for the Wexford branch, and then went on to represent Wexford at the national awards. To win Established Businesswoman of the Year in a category surrounded by very experienced businesswomen is incredible.”
