You’re The Business initiative for SMEs returns for 2023

The You’re The Business competition for SMEs is returning for 2023, with 31 October as the closing date for entries.

The initiative, which is a collaboration between Google, Enterprise Ireland and the Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs), will reward businesses across Ireland that have demonstrated a commitment to digital at different stages of their journey.

It is designed to be an opportunity for a business to win practical support and advertising credit that will help them on the next part of their digital journey. It can also help to raise the profile of the business.

SMEs are being invited to submit a video no longer than two minutes in duration, detailing what their business means to them, as well as an example of how they have used digital to enhance their business.

The successful SMEs, who will be selected by a panel of judges, will receive a digital support package from Google, which includes €1,000 worth of Google Ads, and mentorship across technical areas. An additional prize of a video creation kit will also be awarded to one SME that has demonstrated great efforts in promoting their business online.

“Google is committed to supporting Irish SMEs upskill,” said Cera Ward, managing director, Google Ireland. “We were so inspired by last year’s entries, which really showed how SMEs strived to get their business online and how being online has helped them to succeed and grow, both domestically and further afield.”
