z.one concept International Hair Fashion Show takes place in Spain
The Son Amar theatre in Palma de Mallorca in Spain was the backdrop for the live Nineties-themed z.one concept International Hair Fashion Show 2022, which took place on 6 June.
The event was attended by an Irish group that included Xavier Berrell and Lorna Joan Hill from Ice Cool Products in Dublin; Nessa Cahill, Ellen Dunphy, Catriona Cahalan and David Finn from Style Bar in Portlaoise; and Vincent Maguire, Michelle Kenny, Mary Jo Geraghty and Annmarie Boyle from Maguire Hair & Beauty Supplies in Longford.
The stylistic team, directed by global artistic ambassador Andrew Smith, created hair looks inspired by three musical genres of the Nineties: dance, grunge and pop.
The natural volume and fullness of the hair were the starting point for the stylists, who showcased a more eccentric and modern reinterpretation of the looks, using products to increase volume.
Among the stylists who contributed to the creation of the looks on stage were Francesco Maria Ferri, Diego Avellini, Clinton Attard, Cristina Morariu, David Baker and Shelley Lane. The hair colours were created by Maurizio Velotti, Milo Bellucci, Elena Cafà and Michael Bonadduce.
The show ended with a tribute to the history of fashion to evoke the iconic characters of the time, followed by a Nineties-themed party with a live DJ set.
