Eden Beauty Group has announced that it has teamed up with Creagh Aesthetics as its national trainer for exosomes.
Exosomes, or exosome therapy, is a a relatively new professional-level skin treatment that is often used in conjunction with microneedling or laser therapy. After having a laser or microneedling treatment, during which tiny microchannels are created in the skin, an exosome serum is then layered on top.
These exosomes are used as 'signalling molecules', and work by stimulating the skin at a cellular level. They reportedly hunt out cells in need of repair and help them to speed up collagen and elastin production.
According to Susan Fox, managing director of Eden Beauty, Group, exosomes are among the biggest breakthrough in aesthetics.
“We are delighted to be teaming with Creagh Aesthetics to offer beauty professionals the chance to train in such a fantastic treatment. Exosomes are secreted by certain types of cells – their purpose is to be a form of communication between cells, and they can also act as carriers, bringing peptides, proteins and lipids into the cells.
“When needled into the skin they are incredibly effective for skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, hair loss and much more. Test results show exosomes delay the ageing process and play an important role in remodelling the extracellular matrix.”
Creagh Aesthetics' exosomes are derived from bovine colostrum milk and contain 20 billion exosomes, along with growth factors.
Eden Beauty Group will be offering training courses from January 2024, with the package to include a microneedling pen and pack of exosmoes to complete six treatments.
