Gainfort Academy recognised for hair and beauty training excellence with award win

Gainfort Academy has won the Excellence in Training & Development Award at the recent County Wexford Business Awards, which are hosted by the County Wexford Chamber.

The annual event celebrates the innovation, resilience and success of enterprises across a variety of sectors.

Gainfort Academy is owned by Michael and Fiona Gainfort, who also own Gainfort Hair & Beauty Supplies in Wexford and Waterford, along with Gainfort Salon Design. They opened Gainfort Academy in 2007, with centres in Wexford and Waterford, and satellite locations in counties around the country.

Posting on social media, Gainfort Academy said winning was a huge honor, and that it is very grateful to get such a valued endorsement from Wexford Chamber. “This award is dedicated to our great team, and also to all the students past and present who have been part of our growth,” it added.

Meanwhile, Gainfort Academy has also been shortlisted as a finalist for Large Training Provider of the Year UK and Ireland at the VTCT Skills Excellence Awards 2026, which will take place next month.

“Being recognised among the very best in the industry across the UK and Ireland is an incredible achievement, and we are extremely proud to be selected as a finalist for this year’s awards,” it said.

“This nomination is a reflection of the passion, dedication, and hard work of our amazing team, trainers, learners, and partners who continue to drive excellence every day.”
