GDPR course now available from Image Skillnet

Image Skillnet is now offering its GDPR Essentials course online, which is free for members and delivered by Léon Atkins from Impact Privacy.

According to the enterprise-led training network, the course is ideal for anyone who is responsible for a hair or beauty business, but doesn’t know where to start with GDPR and data protection compliance.

Featuring five training sessions online, it will help attendees understand data protection and to implement those requirements in their business with a step-by-step guide and template documentation. When the training has been completed, they should be able to meet the most fundamental requirements of GDPR and have documentation to support compliance.

Part one will look at data protection, data protection principles and why getting it right is important; part two will cover identifying personal data use and starting the process of documenting the data processing activities of a business; and part three will explain when personal data use is lawful, minimising personal data use, ensuring personal data is accurate and completing a record of personal data processing.

Meanwhile, parts four and five will focus on deciding how to long to keep personal data, and how to keep it safe; and telling people how you use their personal data.
