The Irish Spa & Beauty Association (ISA) has announced that Gosia Newell has been appointed general manager, with Dara Mullooly supporting as assistant general manager.
According to the ISA, Newell and Mullooly bring decades of operational, commercial and leadership experience from some of Ireland's leading spa destinations, and their appointments mark an exciting new chapter for the organisation as it continues to expand its member offering, strengthen industry collaboration and champion professional standards across the sector.
Newell is an experienced spa operations executive and wellness strategist with extensive expertise in luxury hospitality, operational excellence and commercial performance. Throughout her career, she has led high-performing spa teams, developed innovative treatment concepts, and championed education and workplace wellbeing.
Mullooly has with more than 20 years' experience across the spa, wellness and hospitality industry. As director of The Spa at The Johnstown Estate, she leads one of Ireland's premier destination spas, overseeing commercial performance, guest experience, operational excellence and team development.
“The ISA was created to bring our industry together, encourage collaboration and support the people who make our profession so special,” said Anita Murray, who co-founded the ISA with Peigín Crowley. “Peigín and I are delighted to welcome Gosia and Dara to the ISA. Both bring a wealth of experience, professionalism and a genuine passion for our industry. I know they will be fantastic ambassadors for the association, supporting our members and helping us continue to strengthen and connect Ireland's spa community.”
Meanwhile, the ISA has also announced that its annual Autumn Gathering will take place at Dunboyne Castle, Co Meath on Tuesday, 6 October, with internationally recognised hospitality leader David Arraya as keynote speaker.
The event will bring together spa owners, directors, therapists, suppliers and wellness professionals from across Ireland to share ideas, explore emerging industry trends and celebrate excellence within the sector.
