National Beauty Distribution launches AutoStore robotic warehouse

National Beauty Distribution has launched its AutoStore robotic warehouse at its Cork headquarters, following a €2.5m investment.

According to the company’s founder and CEO Kieran Walsh, the new system marks a significant advancement in operational speed, efficiency and scalability, setting a new standard for hair and beauty distribution across Ireland and Europe.

National Beauty Distribution is only the second company in Ireland to implement AutoStore technology.

“AutoStore doesn’t just speed up our processes, it transforms the way we operate, and how we serve our customers,” said Walsh. “This investment places us firmly ahead of the curve as we grow our operations and expand our footprint into new markets.”

National Beauty Distribution decided to look for a solution when it was faced with limited and costly warehouse space in Cork, and needed to manage its growing inventory of thousands of SKUs more efficiently.

“We were stocking to the ceiling and still running out of space,” Walsh explained. “AutoStore allows us to consolidate thousands of SKUs into a much smaller footprint. It’s allowed us to reclaim space, increase accuracy, and speed up order processing, completely reshaping our day-to-day operations.

“This system is not just about technology – it’s about delivering a better experience for every salon, clinic and retailer we serve. It positions us to grow with confidence, serve more partners, and fulfill orders faster and more accurately than ever before.”
