Nominations are now open for Apprenticeship of the Year 2024

Nominations are now open for the Apprenticeship of the Year, with employers, training providers or fellow apprentices being encouraged to put someone forward for an award.

This includes any salon that has employed an apprentice under the National Hairdressing Apprenticeship programme.

Nominations are free, and there should only be a single nomination per apprentice. An organisation/individual may, however, nominate multiple apprentices. In order to be nominated, apprentices must have been actively completing an apprenticeship at some point in the 2024 calendar year.

An independent panel of judges will adjudicate after the closing date for nominations of 14 June has passed, with an awards ceremony planned for 23 October 2024 in Dublin.

Nominated apprentices will be assessed on their contribution and achievement in leadership, teamwork, creativity and problem-solving, and will get an opportunity to showcase their contribution as part of Worldskills Ireland 2024, which is taking place in the RDS in Dublin on 25-27 September.
