Cidesco launches individual certificates for students who want to specialise in skincare, aesthetics and body therapy

Cidesco, the world standard for beauty and spa therapy, has launched its first set of individual certificates for students who want to develop in specific areas.

The Certificate in Skincare, Certificate in Aesthetics and Certificate in Body Therapy will offer the highest standards of professional qualifications and will “provide students with the means to equip themselves with the skills to succeed in a competitive industry”.

The body says the certificates will be recognised and respected worldwide – Cidesco has accredited schools in more than 30 countries worldwide.

Cidesco Certificate in Skincare:

  • Facials including facial electrical therapy
  • Day, night and bridal make-up
  • Counts towards Beauty Therapy Diploma
  • Minimum hours: 730 hours.

Cidesco Certificate in Aesthetics:

  • Facials including Facial Electrical therapy
  • Full day, night and bridal make-up
  • Waxing and hair removal techniques
  • Manicures and pedicures
  • Counts towards Beauty Therapy Diploma
  • Minimum hours: 800 hours.

Cidesco Certificate in Body Therapy:

  • Body Analysis
  • Pre-treatments
  • Body electricals
  • Full-body massage
  • Counts towards Beauty Therapy Diploma
  • Minimum hours: 565 hours.

Anna-Cari Gund, Cidesco president, said: “Educational systems are different in each country and we need to be more flexible in order to meet the future.

“We are pleased to be launching the three new Cidesco Certificates. It will open up our membership to many new therapists who want to specialise in one area of beauty but still achieve an advanced level of training.”

Cidesco has also launched a menu of signature treatments this year as well aligning its beauty and spa therapy qualifications with SCQF and EQF frameworks.
