Elemental Hair Collection charity event to take place in Dublin

Hair stylist Richard Correia is holding his Elemental Hair Collection charity event in Dublin on Sunday, 12 June to raise funds for refugee children in Ireland.
According to data from the Central Statistics Office, it is estimated that more than 10,000 children are refugees in Ireland, with the latest survey noting that of this number, 9,613 are Ukrainians.
With LGBTQ+ activists across Ireland are dedicating actions of solidarity and support for refugee children in the country this Pride Month, Elemental will place in Dicey’s Garden Club on Harcourt Street.
Aiming to bring together digital influencers and companies in solidarity with this cause, the event will be hosted by Panti Bliss.
The Elemental Hair Collection project was born in 2019, when Correia attended a meditation retreat in Thailand. The stylist created a collection inspired by earth, air, fire, water, ether, titanium and rainbow.
He attributed qualities to each of these elements: life to the earth; purity to the air; transformation through fire; strength to water; balance of the universe through ether; resistance of brightness and darkness by titanium; and unity by the set of particles of the rainbow.
Correia spent three years developing his idea, and conscious of the latest events around the world, he decided to support and help the plight of child refugees from Ukraine.
Correia was born in 1989 in Araras, a city in rural Sao Paulo in Brazil and moved to Ireland in 2016. Tickets for his show are €10 and can be booked here.
