The Hair and Beauty Industry Confederation (Habic) has announced that it is holding a vaccination information webinar with Prof Luke O'Neill.
Taking place on Tuesday, 19 January at 4pm, tickets for the event are free for all Habic members.
“We are honoured to have Prof Luke O’Neill present the scientific research-based information on the Covid-19 vaccines, realising any fears or concerns you may have, so that you can make a fully informed choice around taking the vaccine,” said Habic.
There were will also be a Q&A session at the end of the webinar, where Prof O'Neill will answer any vaccine queries that attendees may have.
Luke O’Neill is professor of biochemistry at the School of Biochemistry and Immunology in Trinity College Dublin. He has been at the forefront of all things Covid-related in Ireland since the outbreak of the pandemic early last year.
A recognised expert and educator, he is also the author of three books: Humanology: A Scientist’s Guide to Our Amazing Existence; children’s book The Great Irish Science Book; and the recently published Never Mind the B #ll*cks, Here’s the Science, which is a guide to the biggest challenges facing our species today, including Covid-19.
Ireland’s current vaccine roll-out plan looks set to see 700,000 people vaccinated across the country by the end of March. In Europe, two vaccines have already been approved for use – the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna – while the Astrazeneca vaccine is on course to be approved by the end of the month.
