IHF Online Championships 2021 open for entries

The Irish Hairdressers Federation (IHF) Online Championships 2021 is now open for entries, and will close at 12 noon on 31 July.

There are six categories in total for this year’s competition: Colour Technician of the Year (senior); Trend Image of the Year (senior and trainee); Commercial Image of the Year (senior); Newcomer of the Year (trainee); Gents’ Full Fashion; and Editorial Team of the Year.

All models must be live (no mannequin heads), a competitor can only enter one model per category and each model can only be used in one category. All photographs can be taken either by a professional or on a smartphone, and entries must not be made public, including social media posts, until after the virtual final.

This final will be streamed live from The Heritage Hotel in Co Laois on the evening of Sunday, 19 September.

Entries, which cost €20 each, can now be submitted digitally via the IHF website, and all competitors will be automatically registered to attend the virtual ceremony.

All of the individual category winners will receive a number of prizes, including education from sponsors such as  L'Oréal Professionnel, Phorest, Alfaparf Milano, Wella Professionals and Schwarzkopf Professional.

The individual category winners (not including photographic) will also become part of the IHF Artistic Team, and will partake in a hair show at the IHF Championships 2022.
