Irish stylists among newly announced ID Artist Team 2022

L’Oréal Professionnel Paris has announced its ID Artist Team 2022, with four Irish stylists making the final line-up of 12.

Callum O'Donovan of The Edge Hair Design, Cork; Lily Hand from DaveyDavey in Dublin; Megan O’Donoghue from Brown Sugar in Dublin; and Orla Langton, from Wildflower in Dublin join eight other winners from the UK to make up the winning group of hair professionals.

The ID Artist Team was chosen following an entry process that took place earlier this year. To win a place, they each had to audition by digital entry, which included two formal steps. Firstly they had to submit an audition video showcasing a model; they had to prepare a complete total look featuring a model based on something that inspired them, and present this look and explain how they achieved it, including the techniques and products used.

The second  step involved a virtual interview with a panel of experts, who asked a series of questions regarding the technical and thought process behind the look presented in the audition.

The 12 winning members will now participate in a two-year development programme that aims to help each individual reach their full potential. They will all have the opportunity to be mentored by top industry names, improving skills in presenting, hands-on training, networking and more.

Posting the winning team on social media, L’Oréal Professionnel Paris commended everyone who auditioned, and said that the standard of talent this year was exceptionally high.
