Local salons win at Midlands 103 Customer Service Awards

A number of hair and beauty businesses were honoured at the recent Midlands 103 Customer Service Awards.

The annual event celebrates the best in customer service across businesses in various sectors in counties Laois, Offaly and Westmeath, and surrounding areas.

After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the awards returned for 2022, with nominations taken in over 65 categories.

The judging panel initially carried out a series of evaluations, before compiling a shortlist. The winners were announced at a black-tie gala dinner in the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise.

Nakid by Sharon Leavy, Tullamore won the Nail Salon of the Year Award, while Kim (Van Thi Nguyen) at Iris Hand & Foot Spa in Portlaoise was named Nail Technician of the Year.

Cheveux Hair Salon in Tullamore won in two categories – it was named Hair Salon of the Year, while Chloe Dunne was named Hair Stylist of the Year.

Carrie’s Beauty Salon in Athlone was also a double winner as it was named Beauty Salon of the Year, and Carrie Cunnane was named Beautician of the Year.

The Barber of the Year Award went to Boston Barber in Tullamore.
