Revenue reminds businesses to apply for extra supports

Revenue has reminded businesses that they may qualify for the additional seasonal Covid Restriction Support Scheme (CRSS) payments.
Many businesses, including those in the hair, beauty and spa industry, have been affected by the Government's decision to move to Level 5 restrictions, and are eligible for additional payments for the weeks beginning 21 December, 28 December and 4 January.
The additional payment was already due to businesses such as wet pubs, nightclubs, discos and casinos, which were already restricted from reopening, but it has been widened to include restaurants, cafes and personal services such as hairdressers and beauticians, which had to shut on Christmas Eve.
These businesses are now closed until at least the end of January, since the Government placed the country on full Level 5 restrictions.
The payment provides up to double the amount of the weekly CRSS support payment due, subject to the statutory maximum payment of €5,000 per week. A qualifying business can make a claim now via the eRepayments service in ROS.
Revenue also reminded businesses who recommenced trading following the lifting of restrictions on 4 December that they can still claim an additional CRSS ‘restart week’ of support, if they have not already done so.
