Spa hotel nominated in County Tipperary Business Awards

The Horse & Jockey Hotel near Thurles in Co Tipperary has been nominated in the County Tipperary Business Awards in the Best Family Business Award category.
The four-star family-run hotel, which gave the Tipperary village its name, is steeped in history, has been continuously trading for 250 years and stands at one of the great traditional crossroads of Ireland. The hotel has expanded over the years and is now home to 65 bedrooms, a restaurant, bar, conference centre, bakery and cafe, leisure centre, beauticians, spa, and hair salon.
Open seven days a week, The Hair Salon was established in 2009 and has since become a staple of the Horse & Jockey Hotel. A team of stylists and colour technicians are on hand for detailed consultations and use a range of brands, including Alfaparf Milano and Moroccan Oil.
Meanwhile, The Beauty Rooms offer brands such as the Australian tan Vani-T, Waxperts, MUD make-up and HD Brows. Voya Organic Beauty is part of the spa offering, as is the Elemis Biotec Facial Treatment Machine. The spa’s Elemis Signature Treatment has been devised by Elemis specifically for the Horse & Jockey Hotel. It begins with exfoliation on the back followed by a hot stone massage. The face is then treated to an Elemis booster facial with a relaxing frangipani oil massage to the arms.
Now in their third year, the County Tipperary Business Awards will be held in the Clonmel Park Hotel on 18 October 2019.
