The Glammies by Great Lengths 2023 took place in Medley in Dublin recently, with the ceremony hosted by Brian Dowling.

Featuring eight creative and business categories, The Glammies celebrate the craft and creativity of hair stylists and salons, and the business of hair extensions across the Republic of Ireland.

The big winner on the night was Brooklyn Scargill, Urban Hair, Limvady, Co Derry, who came first in both the Enviable Volume and Captivating Colour categories.

Lynn Knox, Streetlife Hair, Kilkenny won in the Longer Length category, while the Creative Innovation category was won by Sharon Sheehan, AC Pure, Co Wexford.

The winner in the Bridal Creation category was Karen Nolan, K. Hair, Carlow, while Glen Kelly, Hession Hairdressing, Drumcondra, Dublin, was named Best Newcomer.

Meanwhile, Plush Hair in Waterford was crowned Republic of Ireland Hair Extension Salon of the Year, and the Great Lengths Trophy for Extension Excellence went to Laura Francis, Hession Hairdressing, Clontarf, Dublin.

“This is the 11th anniversary of The Glammies and the standard gets higher every time,” said Joscelin McCourt, CEO of HB Collective, the home of Great Lengths.

“The creativity, colour and cut of our finalists were without doubt the best to date, and I would like to commend each and every one of our finalists and, of course, our eight winners.”

All winners receive tickets for a group tour of the Great Lengths production facility in Rome, a Glammies trophy, logos for marketing, social media coverage and PR across the country in both trade and local press.
